Lansdowne Construction Update – Week February 25
Next week, residents may observe additional activity on the roof of the north stands as the contractor plans to begin cutting back the large girders. This activity will take approximately two weeks to complete, and is weather dependent.
As planned, there are a few trees on Bank Street, between the main Lansdowne gate and the Bank Street Bridge that will be removed next week. Once construction of the new residential building at this corner is complete, landscaping including new trees will be reinstated.
The installation of piles along the Aberdeen Pavilion and at the Civic Centre should be completed next week. The contractor also continues to work on pouring new foundations and the roof of the parking garage. They have further refined and streamlined the concrete finishing process and should be able to complete this work in a shorter amount of time moving forward.
